Bio:

Krystyna Adams received her PhD in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University in 2018. Her dissertation research examines ethical dimensions of the growing dental tourism industry through an exploration of industry practice in one particular site of industry development in northern Mexico. This research examines how and why Canadians are engaging with the industry in this site as well as how and why particular industry practices might raise ethical and safety concerns. In her master's program in public health, Krystyna examined how Canadians decide to participate in medical tourism. She is trained as a qualitative health services researcher and continues pursuing her interests in health services policy development as a policy analyst with the British Columbian Ministry of Health.
