Karima Bapoo-Mohamed, Dip DH, RDH, MBA, has over two decades of experience as a dental coach and a clinician working with a wide variety of local, national and international audiences. Karima is highly motivated to empower dental practices and teams to create clinical and operational efficiencies with a patient-centered care model while managing change processes and transformation.
Exemplifying the traits of a true global citizen, Karima developed and implemented strategic and tactical programs in Africa and Asia driven by her passion to improve oral health outcomes globally. One of her many noteworthy achievements is spearheading the development of a brand-new profession of dental hygiene in South East Asia, of which she is the founding program director of this inaugural program.
Karima brings her global strategic leadership and clinical expertise coupled with her innate ability to achieve measurable outcomes, to her role as the Senior Director of Education and DSO Growth at CareCru Inc.
Karima is a graduate of two faculties at the University of Alberta (U of A), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry for her dental hygiene program and School of Business for her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
Karima’s efforts as an educator have been acknowledged by being the recipient of the prestigious 2014 University of Alberta Alumni Honor Award as well as the 2013 Gibb Clinical Teaching Award at U of A. She was also awarded the Alberta Education scholarship for her high performance in the MBA program at the U of A.
Her volunteer ethic is exemplified by her contribution to various boards including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) 2021-2022 Annual Education Committee, Professional Advisory Committee- CDI college. She is an active member of the College of Registered Dental Hygienist of Alberta (CRDHA).
Karima is also a trained instructor for the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and Practice Management Certification programs (ADIA&PM), a division of International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI)
